Steve is a musician as well as an industry qualified broadcasting engineer. At the age of 17 he started professionally performing in a 60’s / 70’s rock band with his brother touring Victoria. This is where his passion for live events and audio and visuals started.
In 1989 Steve started full time as an Audio Engineer with Ace Radio Victoria. For 10 years Steve studied Audio Broadcast Engineering and then made the move to Queensland to continue his career with Aus-Stereo South Australia and Queensland.
After a few years Steve saw an opening in the market to supply outside broadcasting rigs and equipment so he started Steve’s Pro Audio. In 2011 Steve began to trade as SSL Productions QLD providing a complete audio-visual production solution for his clients.
Steve’s first big job was being a part of the team that built Australia’s first Digital Broadcasting Station located on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland which had the capability of Broadcasting through satellite to a 1/3 of the globe.
Steve treats every job as if it is his own show he is putting on, he goes above and beyond in providing service and equipment.
Steve purpose built his own Staging trailer specifically for radio broadcasting and mobile broadcasting studio trailer. With these rigs and his abundance of high end broadcasting and audio-visual equipment there isn’t a job Steve can’t tackle.
